Howler is the creative studio of Craig Fowler—a place for brand identity, digital experiences, and campaigns built around one question: what are you actually trying to say?
We work alongside culture-driven organizations—Fortune 500 brands, venture-backed startups, and institutions building something meaningful—helping them find clarity in the complexity and create visual systems that earn attention rather than demand it.
For over a decade, we've been fortunate to partner with brands like Nike, Red Bull North America, UCLA, Axios Media, and a handful of early-stage companies we believed in from the start. The work spans integrated campaigns, brand identities, civic initiatives, and digital platforms. What ties it together isn't scale—it's care.
We're drawn to projects where the best thinking happens together. A seasonal launch, a civic awareness campaign, a brand built from nothing—the approach is the same: slow down, find what matters, and build something that connects rather than just communicates.

As a Creative Director and Visual Design Lead, I've been embedded in projects from the ground up — contributing to strategy, shaping early concepts, and driving execution through sprints. I've led teams in building Design System architecture and Design Frameworks that give feature teams a strong, scalable foundation to build from.
My work lives at the intersection of craft and clarity: I partner closely with engineers from prototype through production, using research to pressure-test decisions and define what success actually looks like — not just what it looks like on screen.
